Gypsum Underlayments
Gypsum underlayments also known as gypsum concrete is used as a floor underlayment in wood-framed construction for fire ratings, sound reduction and floor leveling. Typically, gypsum floor underlayments are installed as subfloors in apartments, hotels, condominiums, and senior living facilities.
Treadwell’s gyp is non-shrinking, fast curing and ready for light trade traffic in 1 hour and normal traffic in 24 hours. While light weight, gypsum concrete can still reach compressive strengths up to 3800 psi and is abrasion resistant. Using the best pumps available, Treadwell can install up to 40,000 sf of gypsum in one day.
Flooring Sound Mats
To reduce sound transmission between levels of wood-framed buildings Treadwell installs acoustical treatments under gypsum underlayments. Treadwell offers both polypropylene barrier fabrics and rolled plastic in thickness from 1/8” up to 3/8” for superior sound control.
Treadwell’s sound mats are UL listed and can reduce impact noise (IIC) up to 16db in wood framed assemblies.
