The Shawnee Mission Fire Department has served its area since 1924, protecting residents and visitors from fire and medical emergencies. The Shawnee Mission Fire Station needed flooring for its corridors and common areas. In its harsh environment, with high foot traffic, food and beverage spills, and abrasion from sliding chairs, the station needed a tough, durable floor.
Treadwell’s highly-trained flooring technicians prepared the concrete slab in the corridors and common areas using cutting-edge polishing equipment and densifying chemicals to create decorative and durable polished concrete floor.
The station’s floor is extremely durable. Since it doesn’t show scratches and is non-porous, the floor retains its attractive appearance over time. With its decorative polished concrete floor, the station has a brighter, more pleasant environment.
