DeSoto School District
Project Details
Project Overview
The DeSoto School District, committed to providing a conducive learning environment, embarked on a comprehensive flooring enhancement project for their corridors and classrooms.
Treadwell Solution
First, using a combination of powered floor scrapers and planetary grinders equipped with HEPA dust filters, we adeptly removed the old flooring materials, ensuring a clean slate for the upcoming enhancements. Treadwell then successfully implemented a flooring solution by installing decorative flake epoxy floors for the classrooms and polished concrete in the corridors, providing long-term durability with excellent chemical resistance.
Benefits
The combination of decorative flake epoxy floors and polished concrete introduced several advantages to the DeSoto School District. The epoxy floors ensure durability against daily wear and tear, enhance the overall aesthetics of the learning spaces, and facilitate easy cleaning with the integral cove base. The incorporation of polished concrete in the corridors adds a sleek and modern touch, offering benefits such as increased light reflectivity, reduced maintenance costs, and improved overall sustainability. Moreover, the versatility of the epoxy floors accommodates the diverse activities and functions within school corridors and classrooms.
