Project Overview

Located in the heart of Bentonville, Arkansas; Brightwater Culinary School offers a progressive and cutting edge program for Northwest Arkansas’s Culinary students. The Center for the Study of Food focuses on areas of culinary nutrition, artisanal food, beverage management and food entrepreneurship. By providing smaller class sizes & a challenging learning environment, the school prides itself with offering the highest quality education to their students. To compliment the schools goals, flooring that was both aesthetically pleasing and the highest quality were required.

Treadwell Solution

For the aspiring chefs learning the test kitchens, Treadwell installed a seamless cementitious urethane floor. For the students and guests walking the corridors and lobby Treadwell installed polished concrete.

Benefits

In the kitchens Treadwell chose flooring that would withstand the exposure to heat and stay resistant to the daily use of chemicals whether the students are creating the perfect soufflé or cleaning up a variety of messy ingredients,. 

The polished concrete floors added character and durability to spaces while contributing to the green initiatives of the school. Polished concrete is easy to clean and bright finish reflected the natural light coming into the space reducing the new lighting required.
